Janet Albrechtsen on free speech

Janet Albrechtsen is a leading Australian commentator, lawyer and a mother of three. She offers a spirited defence of liberal values against the Left’s commitment to grievance, envy, and intolerance.

“It s no coincidence that the corruption of feminism has occurred at the same time that our commitment to free speech has faltered.”

“Forty years ago the left abandoned libertarian notions of human rights and embraced this new definition of egalitarian rights.” And it began with “the right to equal concern and respect”.

“Under this new framework, people are not seen as autonomous resilient and rational, under this new framework people are seen as masses of nerves that need protection”.

There is more. “The scandal is the strategic silence of modern feminism around freedom for women”.

….3 beers apiece for each of my coworkers…….

…….”and that’s how it came to pass, that on the second-to-last day of the job, the convict crew that tarred the plate factory roof in the spring of ’49 wound up sitting in a row at ten o’clock in the morning, drinking icy cold Bohemia style beer, courtesy of the hardest screw that ever walked a turn at Shawshank State Prison…….The colossal prick even managed to sound magnanimous. We sat and drank with the sun on our shoulders and felt like free men. Hell, we could have been tarring the roof of one of our own houses. We were the Lords of all Creation. As for Andy, he spent that break hunkered in the shade, a strange little smile on his face, watching us drink his beer……You could argue he’d done it to curry favor with the guards, or maybe make a few friends among us cons. Me, I think he did it just to feel normal again, if only for a short while.

Allow me to pontificate , to wax philosophical and to splatter your blog with a crude vulgarity I quickly cobbled together……..there’s so much more I could do with it, oh well, this will have to do…

Lets begin…….

For all our failings, for all our faults, the civilized Western democratic societies based on a foundation of Western Anglo-Saxon Protestant/Judeo Christianity are the greatest success story in the history of Mankind.

Who are we?

We are without equal in over 10,000 years.

We are those who stand the tallest of all other races, creeds and colours.

We are the ones who cast the long shadows others live under, and what a goad, what a miserable existence it must be for them, to live entire lives, to live generations of envy, mediocrity and chilled darkness, all the while just in reach of the sunlight.

We are the ones who carried the torch of civilization across the uncharted seas and took a vast wilderness from the hands of squatters and, pouring sweat and spilling blood, we are the ones who carved from that wilderness two great nations.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, were civilized.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, quarried marble and granite and with brilliance in architecture, through sheer force of will, breathed life into the wildest dreams of those architects and built the magnificent structures that still stand today, built the Acropolis, the arenas, the coliseums, the temples, the forums and the amphitheaters.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, built sprawling cities complete with aqueducts bearing hot and cold running water, with sewage and sanitation systems.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, skilled in animal husbandry, agriculture and engineering design, were bridge and road builders, carpenters, weavers, seamstresses, vintners, distillers, painters, bakers, metal workers, masons and farmers.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, built a vast network of roads and highways and with a wide range of wheeled conveyances, took to the market and the world, all that we had grown, distilled, woven, carved and built.

We are the ones, two thousands years ago, who minted coins and currency and created systems of finance and banking.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, raised fleets of merchant marines and navies, and then set sail by the stars we had charted, across oceans to worlds not yet dreamed of.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, raised standing and conquering armies the likes of which shook the world.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, convened courts and dispensed justice.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, with furrowed brow and spirited rhetoric, explored the realm of philosophy and balanced existential ponderance.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, made music from crafted instruments, put paint to canvas, sculpted heavenly form from cold stone and wove words together, words that spoke of life and love and death.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, studied law, mathematics, geometry, physics, astronomy, anatomy and medicine.

We are the descendants of those who, two thousand years ago, built magnificent libraries to hold the collections of our thoughts and academic efforts, to hold record of who we were, where we came from and what we had managed to achieve.

We are the ones who have taken the gifts of our ancestors, the fruits of their labours, and have invested the same in the furtherance and betterment of western civilization.

We are the ones who find strength in the union of marriage, the inviolate sanctity of the family and a faith in God.

We are the ones who sanctify and revere patriotic service to country, the ones who speak in whispered reverence of those who fell in battle and in so doing bought the lives and freedoms of their children and countless generations hence.

We are the ones who embrace, emancipate, encourage, educate and engage our children, including our little girls.

We are the ones who champion academic pursuit and enlightenment, athletic endeavour, charity, democracy, civilized discourse and debate, medical research and innovation, excellence striven in scientific research and development, the rule of law and fundamental justice, human rights, free enterprise, entrepreneurship, artistic expression and the arts, the exploration of our souls, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of expression and the protection of the weakest amongst us.

We thirst for triumph and thrill at the prospect of the search, of the quest.

From the tip of Everest, across the uncharted seas, to the depths of the deepest oceanic abyss to whispers providential that beckon us, challenge us into the expanding Universe. And now, now we accept that challenge, we accept that invitation and we stand on tip-toes reaching our fingertips into the blackness of space in an effort to touch the face of our Creator, to find and chart the depths of our souls and to answer the questions that have vexed us since the darkness that lay upon the water; who are we?, where do we come from?, where are we going?, or simply; why?

My friends, this is who we are, we are; the jewel in the crown of Humanity and the greatest success story in the history of Mankind.

Unfortunately, in recent decades, our resolve has fractured as we have allowed the weak, the mentally ill, the self-loathing, the perverse, the illiterate, the treasonous and the seditious to wrest the stewardship of our great nations from the hands of the decent, moral and hard working men and women whose love of country, whose contributions and toil have, for generations, made Canada what it is today.

Unfortunately, we have forgotten the lessons of two thousand years ago and have opened the gates of the city and strewn rose petals in the paths of savages and barbarians.

Unfortunately, we will, like our ancestors of two thousand years ago, pay the price for our weakness and stupidity.

Unfortunately there are those among us, those to whom we have extended hands of welcome, hospitality and generosity who seek to roll back the hands of time, to draw a blanket of darkness, savagery and murderous, genocidal barbarism over all we have illuminated, to smear the excrement of a 7th century lunatic and mass murdering pedophile over all we have built, over all that defines us, over all we hold dear and as such, there is no place, no place in our civilized world for the Muslim and its Islam, no place, there never was, there is not now, there never will be.

Ladies and gentlemen, the emperor is naked, the sheep skin has slipped from the wolf, the romance with the cancer of multiculturalism is over, the time has come to turn down the music, to turn up the lights, to gather the coats and hats, to say good evening, to bid our dusky-hued guests farewell, and to send them home. Permanently.

Food for thought, a catalyst for action.

Well, if Friday night was for nothing else, its for testing the limits of patience and generousity……..so I will splatter once again with a little something I call………..

Of Pachyderms and Porcelain

Regardless of positions of influence, regardless of place of birth, regardless of the family’s history of previous generations of citizens…all political Muslims must go.

There are coffee shops and wine and cheese parties filled with the tediously enlightened, the grotesquely “academic”, the sneering intelligentsia, little more than a revolting collection of the dull-witted and criminally liberal who know what we are facing but still they dither, still they haughtily dismiss calls for deportation as “radical”, and yet still Islam advances, still Islam moves forward and slowly, bit by bit, Islam chews its way into their lives, destroying their culture, destroying their heritage and destroying the very democracy they claim to hold so dear and, vacuous and dithering, all they can do is burden themselves with decisions no more troublesome than choosing between cheddar or Gouda.

As a nation, Islam is the elephant in the room that we ignore to our considerable detriment and this elephant is not shy about making its presence known. It has trampled the furniture and we ignore it. It has vacated its bowels painting every wall with a fecal soup and still we ignore it. It has murdered and maimed us and still, ever the cowards, all we can do is, apologetically and politely, hold aside the pachyderm’s pendulous testicular sack and, peeking through its legs whilst sipping English Breakfast with pinkies extended, make polite inquiries of our fellows as to their opinion on the latest floral pattern rolled out by the boys at Royal Doulton.

We are a nation of Neroesque fools, fiddlesome idiots quarrelling over hors d’oeuvres and, Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury,…..the strains of our lunacy reminds me of a line from the poem “Locksley Hall” by Alfred Lord Tennyson……..to wit:

“Slowly comes a hungry people, as a lion, creeping nigher, Glares at one that nods and winks behind a slowly-dying fire.”

Ladies and Gentlemen we are the sleepy one, drifting off as the fires of Western civilization burn down to little more than embers of sullen indifference, and I hope, in my heart of hearts, that the poets and singers of song, that the writers of tomes historical a thousand years hence, when they rise against the unbearable boot heel of Islamic fascism draw us for who we really are: a nation of ungrateful treasonous cowards who let slip from our hands the toil of patriots and true citizens of what was once, the greatest country and republic in the history of Mankind.

Oh how richly we deserve ourselves, and tragically, how our children do not, oh how worthy of the contempt of God himself.

So, my friends, you and I know it, the vast majority of Canadians and Americans know it, that sooner or later this will come to blood and so it should, so it should.

But, on the backs of our timidity and frailty, if it does not, and we continue to tread this ruinous path and the boot-heel of Islamic masters slowly crushes our miserable spineless necks into the dust of obscurity and servitude, then my friends, we will deserve it, every agonizing, miserable, humiliating and injurious minute of it.

Then, as said, above, our generations that will follow, our wives and daughters so failed and miserably dependant on our flacid manhood, our wives and daughters, their lives an agony of humiliation and degradation, their lives an agony of rape and murder, our wives and daughters made whores in Muslim brothels.

And what of our sons? Our sons, looking to their fathers and finding only cowards and traitors, our sons, emasculated whelps, our sons made sodomized, grovelling lapdogs to Muslims, all, each and every son and daughter, one born into Muslim slavery and abject misery, they will not deserve it and they will righteously hate us more than their Muslim tormentors and masters for our cowardice and treachery.

So listen closely Western Civilization; for in our abdication of our responsibilities as the children of the founding fathers of our nations, those men of vision, those men of courage of conviction, men with incredible depth of character and resolve, men far greater than we, in our willingness to smear the steaming excrement of Muslims on those gifts given us by those great men, can be heard the ringing hammer blows that are forging the shackles to be worn by countless generations hence.

In closing my friends, I end as I began.

We, each and every one of us, deserve everything we get……everything.

Now, where did I put the brandy
