American blacks, boredom and crime

An earlier post here about Pat Mahaney noted this.

Pat Mahaney, 46, passed away Friday at University of Cincinnati Medical Center a little less than a year after the vicious beating that caused him to suffer internal bleeding and put him in the hospital for four days.

Investigators determined the teens instigated the August 2012 attack because they were “bored” and looking for something to do.

Yesterday the following crossed the news wires.

Chris Lane is the Australian college student and baseball player who was murdered while jogging along a street in Duncan, Oklahoma. The perpetrators were three teenagers who were bored and decided to murder someone just for fun. They saw Lane running by, got in a car, drove behind him and shot him in the back.

What do these two crimes have in common? For one both the victims were white. In the first case the six teens involved in the crime were black and in the second case the three teens involved were also black. And oh yes, they were bored.
