The media has been actively complicit in the selling of this lie. To this day they continue to “manage” the story.

AGW is a leftist policy plank and blunt instrument that was to be used to advance the lefts most aggressive agenda, and to beat conservatives with.

Liberals knew Conservatives would call AGW the fraud it was, and they and their compliant/complicit media had the taliking point ready to sneeringly discredit the Conservative bumpkins.

Conservatives initially played into this trap, but when they realized that they would not win a logical debate due to media bias, and that the accidental leader of the day Stephane Dion, just might ascend to the office of PM on the tidal wave of pro AGW anti PC propaganda being pumped out by the MSM – they switched tack, and got out in front of the issue, essentially handcuffing the left and the media.

Media has since been trying to figure out how to get control of the message again, but now that it is so tainted, they can only nibble around the edges, continue to promote the AGW agenda (not too loudly though), and try to keep the public in the dark about the daily scandals.
