November 20th, 2009: The date that will live in history

We have much to celebrate. On Friday last week, it was revealed that the basis of the man-caused global warming scare was, in strict terms, fraudulent. The means: the server at the Climate Research Unit and East Anglia University was hacked. Ten years of data and email was put on the Internet.

Jay Currie points out that more than damage the theory of man-caused global warming, it reveals the cynical and possibly illegal activities of a cabal of climate scientists at the core of the movement.

Various other blogs have carried the unfolding news.

The damage to the AGW cause will be irreversible. The miracle is that they got as far as they did. Future historians will ask:

How did they manage to persuade us that
a) the earth is on average warming when it has been steady or cooling for the last 15 years?
b) humans are the principal if not exclusive cause, when volcanism, solar output, plate tectonics, sea currents, astrophysical phenomena, among many others, play vastly more important roles?
c) global warming is a danger to human and other life, rather than a net benefit?
d) the various warm periods and colder snaps of the last two millennia have not occurred?
d) we should return to the energy consumption levels of America in the 1890’s in order to prevent the averge global air temperature from rising some 2.5 to 5 degrees centigrade?

e) we should establish unaccountable world government to transfer billions of our wealth to the third world on no other basis than this will  cause them to be rich and us to be poor, while we atone to Mother Gaia for industrializing?

The rearguard of the main stream media will do its best to deny, disparage, and obfuscate the importance of these revelations.  Many large interests have too much invested in the global warming industry to give up its tax credits, carbon trading caps, and opportunities to tell everyone what to do. But given the essentially fantastic nature of the claims to govern all carbon dioxide production, inlcuding your breathing, through comprehensive, unaccountable world government, only the most desperate measures would suffice.  They have been tried. They have failed.

I am reminded of Charles de Gaulle’s comment when he flew over Stalingrad. Viewing the city out of a plane window he was overheard to say “Quel peuple magnifique!”. The Russians were pleased to be so admired for their sucessful defence of Stalingrad. No, he corrected. He was referring to the Germans, for having gone so far into Russia. Perhaps we owe the climate fraudsters the same some grudging admiration, before burying them in mass graves.

I will get the bulldozer. You get the guns.

In what appears to be a repeat of “lighten the top and keep the bottom” strategy,  US forces seem to be trying to prove that Gen. Thieu was right in 1975.    Threat Watch reports the following.

It comes to our attention that the MEMRI Blog highlights an article from the Saudi _al-Watan_ in Arabic that – according to an Afghan source – the United States is talking to the Taliban seeking to trade control of 5 provinces in exchange for the cessation of attacks on US bases. MEMRI summarizes:

An Afghan source in Kabul reports that U.S. Ambassador in Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry is holding secret talks with Taliban elements headed by the movement’s foreign minister, Ahmad Mutawakil, at a secret location in Kabul. According to the source, the U.S. has offered the Taliban control of the Kandahar, Helmand, Oruzgan, Kunar and Nuristan provinces in return for a halt to the Taliban missile attacks on U.S. bases.
