Iggy’s fatal new math

Once again a White Russian Ignatieff fails to apprehend a Red socialist grab for power:

Fife also said senior Liberals have told him that they may not need a coalition to form a new government.

“If they do defeat the Conservative government… Ignatieff will go to the Governor General and say ‘We think we can form the government but we don’t have to do it with a coalition,’” Fife said.

“In other words we don’t have to give the NDP any seats in a Liberal government.”

He said the NDP and Block would have to support the Liberals because they already have expressed their hatred towards the Conservative government.

So, it’s logical to presume that once a government of 143 Conservatives is defeated, a caucus of 77 Liberals can expect the confidence of its former allies renouncing a signed declaration? And after they have telegraphed that possibility up front?

One can only conclude that an addiction to power eventually affects the brain much like syphilis, especially if one is not discriminating in choosing bedmates.

The writing is on the wall – this is EXACTLY what is going to happen.

Get ready for the next set of rallies and letters.

Spinning with ‘economical truth’ is clearly a strategy of the Liberals and media. The ill-liberal, liberal democratic ‘power trumps all’ principle is manifest in the recent actions and words of Liberals
As Samuel Johnson in 1763 commented of their ‘whig’ political ancestry, “..for Whiggism is a negation of all principle.’
A formal accord I believe is not bedrock on which the Liberal Party of Canada should be standing for our continuing fight for the federation.

So Libs think they are not bound by the coalition agreement, but the Dippers and Bloc are…….

    And the Libs think the GG would toss out a twice elected party, with support growing each election, with an elected leader in place for 5 years, in the most dire economic times in 2 generations;

and hand government to a party of 77, with an unelected leader, and steadily diminishing support, upon the surety that the Dippers and the Bloc HATE Cons so much, they will support them.

    Oh my gawd.
We wait for the polls on a Liberal government take over of power on sheer arrogance.

Let’s see now. They have alienated Canadians, their own liberal base, supporters of Dion (all two of them), supporters of Rae and now they will alienate their allies.

I’m wondering if Ignatieff is channeling The Joker and just likes to create chaos.

Such conceit and narcissism is to be expected of the liberal party. “Our 77 MP’s can beat your 143 MP’s” epitomizes the ultimate in braggadoccio.
