Iceland, A Terrorist State
October 14, 2008 6:19 am Economics and Finance, Freedom of SpeechHow the mighty have fallen! Last year Iceland was the toast of UN. This year one of the enlightened and sophisticated European countries, that Bush “The Idiot” should be learning from, has declared Iceland a terrorist state.
It has already been revealed that the UK Government has seized more than enough Icelandic assets to pay back British savers caught up in the country’s banking collapse.
Some £4bn is understood to have been frozen using anti-terror laws last week, compared to the estimated £3bn that UK councils, charities and hundreds of thousands of individuals could lose.

It should be patently obvious to anyone with half a brain that Muslim immigration to Nordic countries has but one goal..the Islamification of Europe.

The question should be asked exactly why those British institutions were banking in Iceland in the first place.
O/T
The question I’m asking everyone today
is …
Have you voted yet?
If not why not?
Get out and vote … pass it on.

It’s typically common to do international banking. UBS, a huge bank in the U.S. is actually Swiss owned.
Especially in Europe, it’s common for a neighboring country to offer banking within it’s friendly neighbors. When the typical EU country is only 5-6 million, they rely on the strength of neighbor countries to compete in a global economy.
However, as with all international banking, there are terms to make some assurances– like the case with Iceland. We would never question why a Caifornia bank is doing business in NY State.
The main lesson of this event is that GB should not have been doing banking business with a country that is no a full EU member state.
However, GB (using GB Pounds) would hardly qualify as a full member state. They took their risk. Really, GB did BIG business with a small country with a population of 300,000.

And by the way… I am a resident of Scandinavia… and I have yet to see a mosque. That’s with living in a major capital. So, I’m not sure about the ‘islamification of scandinavia’. That sounds a bit extreme. And yes, there are many muslim immigrants, and jewish, and christian. Scandinavia integrates immigrant society fairly well… and I can say this with living in a neighborhood that has, in the last 10 years, become hugely arab.
There are large differences between being muslim vs. arab. Any decently educated person does not make the confusion between Religion and Culture/Ethnicity.
Truely religious types do not move to a country with nude beaches, free t.v. and newspaper porn, fairly legal prostiution… etc. Really, they have arrived for great social benefits, healthcare, good living wages, great free education for their children.
Please don’t speak of things if which you have limited exposure. You just sound ignorant and simple minded.

While normally I would be happy if you were to slam the New York Times as ignorant and simple minded, how can you apply the same tarbrush to the Christian Science Monitor?
