‘Liberal’ values: not just in Iggy’s ivory tower

Witness this exchange between Peterborough Liberal candidate Betsy McGregor and Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro:
At the all-candidates meetings, McGregor talks about good Canadian values and asks: “Who best can give a voice to your values?”
“What does that mean?” says Del Mastro. “That the 36 per cent who supported me don’t have Canadian values?”
To the Liberal mind, it means exactly that. And kudos to Del Mastro for calling out the lovely and intelligent Ms. McGregor on it.
