Free speech, hate, and the Jews

It makes me nervous even to block and copy this title, from an opinion piece by Jonathan Kay of the National Post. There is some rule of discourse that any comment by a gentile about Jews or matters Jewish will be interpreted as anti-semitic within some very short space of time. However, Ezra Levant’s struggle with Islam working through the Alberta Human Rights Commission is not a Jewish matter. Free speech is an issue worth taking some risks for. To HRC: We are the Republicans and we are here to help you!

Rush Limbaugh in an interview on Fox advised Republicans to vote for HRC to keep the “soap opera”, aka Democratic Primary, going till the bloody finale on the convention floor.  Was the advice followed?  It seems so.

The undercount in the D primary was almost 700,000 ballots out of 2.86 million. By contrast, the undercount in the R primary was about 164,000 ballots out of 1.38 million….  During early voting, I saw polling data that 14% of the voters in this year’s D primary were self-identified Republicans. My guess is that yesterday’s proportion was even greater.

The continuing difficulties in the housing sector in US has led circumstances where homeowners are unable to meet their mortgage obligations.  You would be forgiven if you thought that this problem only centered on the poor neighbourhoods.  A developer in South Florida corrects us.

Nonetheless, as I have followed several of the homes that my wife and I were interested in a few years back, they are all on the market now. What is shocking, that in each and every case, I have been told by brokers and banks that the owners, have ceased paying their mortgages in some cases for nearly 2 years and have continued to occupy these homes. Now, these are homes in excess of $2,000,000 in the very best neighborhoods in South Florida. Brokers have added that these buyers further complicated things by putting huge home equity lines on top of their mortgages and now have no possibility of selling their homes for amounts needed to cover their accumulated debt.

They are tearing America apart!

A man is in the hospital after being struck in the head with a baseball bat during an argument in Alexander County. The attack reportedly occurred during a dispute over politics. The incident happened last Tuesday night while the Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama was on television.
